How long can I work with a cordless power tool?
The runtime of a cordless power tool depends heavily on the application. Therefore, no general time estimates can be provided. With the FLEX quick charger, the batteries are ready for use again in no time; with two batteries, you can easily complete your tasks on the job site without interruptions. The FLEX battery chargers signal with a green LED light that your battery is ready for use again.
What is the best way to store and charge batteries?
Proper storage of a battery is important for ensuring its long service life. A battery should always be removed from the battery-powered tool before storage. Therefore, always store the battery separately from your battery-powered tool. When storing batteries, ensure they are kept in a dry place protected from direct sunlight. If you plan to store your battery for an extended period, charge it to approximately 60% capacity. In general, all FLEX batteries are protected against deep discharge.
Lithium-ion batteries do not exhibit the well-known âmemory effectâ. Nevertheless, a battery should be fully discharged before charging, and the charging process should always be completed in full. Charging the batteries overnight is possible; however, we recommend removing the battery no later than one hour after the charging process is complete. In general, you should ensure that the charger is not left permanently plugged in, but is also unplugged after the charging process is complete. Also make sure that temperatures during the charging process remain between 0 °C and 40 °C.
