Steinheim, October 2023 – Distortion-free and spark-free cutting without annoying metal dust and with maximum cornering ability: That’s what the new SHE 16 18-EC cordless metal shears and the KNE 16 18-EC cordless nibbler, developed by FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH, bring to your work. Both power tools deliver maximum precision in the cutting area. The streamlined and lightweight hand-held metalworking tools impress with their easy handling even where contours are tricky, and their powerful brushless 18V motors ensure rapid work progress.
The SHE 16 18-EC cordless metal shears for burr-free cutting of sheet metal and the KNE 16 18-EC cordless nibbler with its extremely slim grip circumference of just 147 mm are very comfortable to hold and can be safely guided through steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Four-stage speed preselection and features such as soft start and anti-kickback enable optimum adaptation to every workpiece. Both cordless tools are characterised by maximum cornering ability when cutting tight radii from 15 mm, as well as for notches and internal cut-outs from radii of 40 mm. In the case of the nibbler, quick and tool-free adjustment of the cutting direction up to 360° in 45° increments.
A fully-fledged alternative to saws and angle grinders
Among other benefits, the SHE 16 18-EC cordless metal shears offer advantages over a jigsaw or angle grinder thanks to their faster cutting speed and better cutting quality. The blade distance can be flexibly adjusted so that users can achieve optimum results on different sheet thicknesses. One advantage of the KNE 16-18-EC cordless nibbler over a table saw is that deeper trapezoidal sheets can be cut. The advantages over an angle grinder are an oxide-free cutting edge and faster, more precise cutting.
Retailers sell these new cordless metalworking tools either as individual units in a box or in a matching L-Boxx. A chip collection bag and an extension for cutting deeper trapezoidal or corrugated sheets are also available as options for the KNE 16 18-EC cordless nibbler.
