Steinheim, August 2022 – In August, FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH is launching a compact ¼ inch cordless impact wrench for the first time. This manufacturer is raising the bar with this new addition to its cordless range: With a torque of 237 Nm, the ID 1/4" 18.0-EC HD is the most powerful 18V impact wrench in its class, and with a screwing speed of 3700 revolutions per minute is also the fastest. Other plus points are the bit ejector for one-handed tool changing and a tap mode for self-tapping screws.
Tools like the ¼ inch impact wrench ID 1/4" 18.0-EC HD are attracting more and more attention particularly in the construction industry, especially among carpenters, joiners and façade constructors. The compact tool is suitable for a very wide range of woodworking tasks, from terrace construction to façade and window installation, as well as for putting self-tapping screws into sheet metal cladding or sandwich panels for roofs and façades. The powerful cordless impact wrench is also the right choice for concrete screws with a socket.
Useful additional functions
The cordless impact wrench's bit ejector for one-handed tool changing allows quick, one-handed bit changing. Three different speed settings ensure maximum flexibility during use. Thanks to the integrated tap mode, the cordless impact wrench provides the best conditions for screwing in self-tapping screws and preventing overtightening or screw breakage. Like all FLEX cordless tools, the new 1/4" cordless impact wrench has a brushless 18V EC motor for high efficiency and a long service life.
Handy in any position
The advantages of the compact 1/4" cordless impact wrench in everyday use: Since the impact mechanism generates no reverse torque, it can also be used for heavy-duty screwdriving applications such as concrete screws without any major strain on the wrist. And when working on a ladder or overhead, the tool can even be used when it needs to be operated with the other hand (e.g. the left instead of the right hand) for a short time. Another plus is the very short head length, which also aids the user when working in confined spaces.
The new ¼ inch impact wrench ID 1/4" 18.0-EC HD is available as an individual tool in either a cardboard box or the L-Boxx, or as a complete set with two 5.0 Ah batteries and quick charger in the L-Boxx.
