Environment protection at FLEX
Climate change, pollution, scarcity of resources and diseases caused by pollutants – FLEX as a manufacturer of professional power tools is particularly aware of the effects of the manufacturing industry on the environment. And takes responsibility.
For us, compliance with legal requirements is just the beginning. We see ourselves as a company that always wants more, thinks ahead and sets its own standards. This is why we are continuously setting ourselves new goals, especially in the area of environmental protection and constantly challenge ourselves. Reducing our environmental impact as much as possible in all areas of the value chain is our primary goal.
Conservation of resources
Our raw materials are carefully selected and checked for any potential danger to the environment. In our production and for packaging, we only use raw materials that meet our evaluation criteria and requirements.
Our products are especially designed for durability. This leads to the reduction of the amount of production and conserve resources and the environment. When shipping, we make sure to keep our packaging material as low as possible and wherever possible we use cardboard packaging.
Our high performance service centre offers professional repair of damaged products for clients from Germany and Austria. In this way, we save valuable resources and increase the lifetime of our products by another valuable years.
Powerful against pollutants
For us, responsibility for the environment, protection of health and safety on the construction site and in the workshop go hand in hand:
With our air purifiers, we offer the perfect solution for a healthier indoor climate. The air purifiers can combat viruses in aerosols, bacteria, dust and pollen and thus massively reduce the pollutant load in rooms. With our HEPA H14 filter, 99.995 % of pollutant particles are retained.
In addition, FLEX has been a leader for years in developing and improving extraction systems for its products to effectively counteract dust and fine dust. Next year, the latest generation will be launched. It will be intelligent, using sensors to analyse air changes and react and counteract accordingly.

The REACH Regulation is a regulation of the European Union that serves to register, evaluate, authorise and restrict chemical substances. For this purpose, the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) has drawn up a candidate list containing all substances that must be registered.
As a company, we are subject to the obligation to inform about all articles (spare parts, machines, accessories) containing more than 0.1% of a substance of the ECHA candidate list. In accordance with this obligation under Article 33, all FLEX articles containing more than 0.1% of these substances can be viewed in the following list.
Note on disposal
Old electrical appliances and batteries contain valuable resources that can be reused if disposed properly. This protects the environment and resources. But it can also prevent possible pollutants from the old electrical appliances from entering the environmental system. The proper disposal of old appliances and batteries thus protects not only the environment but also your own health.
