New multitool from FLEX
One unit, many uses
Steinheim, March 2022 – FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH has added a versatile innovation to its 18-volt range in the shape of the new MT 18.0-EC multitool. This unit covers different applications for professional craftsmen in a variety of trades.
With its versatile application possibilities, the new FLEX multitool is a reliable companion for construction, renovation, carpentry and joinery work, as well as for interior finishing and painted drywall construction. This unit is also ideal for tilers, electricians, locksmiths, metalworkers, car repair shops and professionals from the plumbing and heating and air-conditioning trades. This clever tool can be used for sawing, cutting, cutting out or for plunge cuts in wood, metal, plastic and plasterboard as well as for scraping off silicone joints, paint and carpet glue. In addition, the MT 18.0-EC can be used to effortlessly cut tiles and remove old tile grouting and tile adhesive. In addition, profiles and surfaces can be sanded right into the corners.
Quick and convenient working
The powerful brushless motor with up to 20,000 revolutions per minute allows a high working speed and rapid work progress. The gearbox with a strong oscillation angle of two degrees on both sides also contributes to this. Depending on the application, the motor speed can be set in increments between 10,000 and 20,000 revolutions per minute. The soft start makes working particularly comfortable. The integrated temperature monitoring and overload protection safeguard the motor against overloading and overheating.
Simple, fatigue-free operation
Also, the low vibration levels of 1.28 m/s2 when sawing wood provide additional comfort . This is also possible thanks to the decoupled handle section with its anti-vibration design and specific anti-vibration buffers. This protects the user and supports ongoing fatigue-free working. The blades can be changed in no time at all and without using tools, thanks to a lever for opening and fixing. The STARLOCK MAX design enables users to work with all STARLOCK accessories for even the toughest jobs. The ultra-bright double LED light means that working area is always easy to see even in difficult lighting conditions. The cutting depth can also be perfectly controlled with the separately available depth parallel stop.
From April onwards, the new MT 18.0-EC multitool will be available from specialist dealers in different sets. FLEX also offers a wide range of further 18 V tools.
